Delete Your Pouch Account and Data

1. Delete Your Account From the App

You can delete your Pouch account and data directly from inside the app.

1. Open the Pouch app.
2. Go to the Profile page.
3. Tap Delete account.
4. Read the confirmation message carefully.
5. Tap Delete my account to confirm.

Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.

2. What Data Will Be Deleted

When you delete your account, Pouch will attempt to delete data associated with your account, including:

• Your Firebase Authentication account
• Your profile data
• Your projects
• Your expenses
• Your categories
• Your payment methods
• Your uploaded profile images
• Your uploaded expense images
• Your saved app preferences connected to your account
• Your guest account data, if your account is still a guest account

3. Guest Account Data

Pouch may allow users to continue as guest. Guest mode may create a temporary guest account so your projects and expenses can remain saved.

If you delete a guest account, Pouch will attempt to delete the guest account and its associated projects, expenses, categories, payment methods, uploaded images, and related app data.

If you sign up or log in from a guest account, Pouch may ask whether you want to add guest projects to your account or delete guest projects and continue without them.

4. Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access the Pouch app, you can request account or data deletion by contacting us by email.

Please include:

• The email address connected to your Pouch account
• A short message saying you want to delete your Pouch account and data

5. Verification Before Deletion

To protect user accounts, we may need to verify that the deletion request belongs to the account owner before deleting data.

If you request deletion by email, we may ask for additional confirmation from the email address connected to the Pouch account.

6. Data That May Remain Temporarily

Some data may remain temporarily in backups, logs, security records, or system records where immediate deletion is not technically possible.

This temporary data will be removed according to normal retention and backup processes.

7. Data We May Retain

We may retain limited information if required for legal, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance reasons.

Any retained data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.
