Pouch is a project and expense tracking app that helps users create projects, record expenses, manage categories, add payment methods, attach images, and optionally save expense locations.

2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you create an account, log in, or use authentication features, we may collect:

Guest account information
If you continue as a guest, Pouch may create a temporary guest account to save your projects and expenses until you choose to sign up or log in.
Project and expense data
Pouch stores the information you create in the app, including:
- Project names
- Project budget
- Project currency
- Project icon and color
- Project start and end dates
- Expense amount
- Expense category
- Payment method
- Expense date and time
- Notes
- Status, such as active or deleted/trash
- Created and updated timestamps
Category and payment method data
Pouch may store categories and payment methods you create or edit, including:
- Category name
- Category icon and color
- Payment method name
- Payment method icon and color
- Default payment method setting
Images and files
If you choose to upload profile images or expense images, Pouch may collect and store those images. Images are only uploaded when you choose to add them.
Location data
Pouch may collect location data only when you choose to add or use a location for an expense. This may include:
- Latitude
- Longitude
- Place name or address
- Manually entered location text
Pouch does not collect location data in the background. Location is used only to help you record where an expense happened.
App preferences
Pouch may store app preferences such as:
- Default currency

- Backup/sync status
- Guest mode status

Advertising data

4. Guest Accounts
Pouch allows users to continue as guest. When you continue as guest, Pouch may create a guest account using a generated guest email address. This helps keep your guest projects and expenses saved if you close and reopen the app.
If you later create an account, Pouch may convert your guest account into your real account so your projects and expenses remain saved.
If you already have an account and log in while using guest mode, Pouch may ask whether you want to:
- Add guest projects to your existing account
- Delete guest projects and log in without them
5. How We Store Information
Pouch uses Firebase services to store and sync app data. We may use:
- Firebase Authentication for account login
- Cloud Firestore for project, expense, category, and payment data
- Firebase Storage for profile images and expense images
- Firebase-related services for app security, performance, or diagnostics
Your data may be stored on servers operated by Google Firebase.
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share or process information with service providers that help us operate the app, including:
- Google Firebase
- Google Sign-In
- Apple Sign-In, if available
- Google AdMob, if ads are enabled
- Google Play services

7. Advertising and AdMob
Pouch may show ads through Google AdMob.

This may include device identifiers, advertising ID, approximate location, app activity, ad interaction data, diagnostic information, and other data described by Google’s advertising and privacy policies.
Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent choices, device settings, Google account settings, and applicable law.
If you are in a region where consent is required, Pouch may show a consent message before personalized ads are displayed. You can choose whether to allow personalized ads where this option is available.
You can also manage ad personalization through your Android device settings or Google account settings.
Pouch does not sell your personal information. However, third-party advertising services may process certain data to provide ads, prevent fraud, measure performance, and comply with legal requirements.
8. Location Data
Pouch may ask for location permission when you use location features, such as adding a location to an expense.
If you allow location access, Pouch may collect your current latitude and longitude and may convert it into a place name or address. This information is saved only with the expense where you choose to use location.
Pouch uses location data to help you remember where an expense happened.
Pouch does not collect location data in the background. Pouch does not continuously track your location. Location is used only when you choose to use a location-related feature inside the app.
You can deny location permission and still use Pouch without automatic location features. You can also enter a location manually.
9. Data Safety and Google Play
The information in this Privacy Policy is intended to match the data disclosures shown in the Google Play Data Safety section.
Depending on your use of Pouch, the app may collect:
- Personal information, such as email address and name
- Photos or images, if you upload images
- Location, if you add expense location
- Financial or expense-related information you enter
- App activity, such as projects and expenses created
- App info and performance data
- Device or advertising identifiers, if ads are enabled
10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
Firebase services provide authentication, access control, and secure cloud storage features. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.
11. Data Retention
We keep your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the app.
Some deleted items may be kept temporarily, such as items moved to Trash, so you can restore them for a limited time.
We may retain certain information if required for legal, security, backup, fraud prevention, or operational reasons.
12. Delete Account and Delete Data
You can delete your Pouch account from the Profile page inside the app.
To delete your account in the app:
- Open the Pouch app
- Go to the Profile page
- Tap Delete account
- Confirm Delete my account
When you delete your account, Pouch will attempt to permanently delete:
- Your Firebase Authentication account
- Your profile data
- Your projects
- Your expenses
- Your categories
- Your payment methods
- Your uploaded profile images
- Your uploaded expense images
- Your saved app preferences connected to your account
- Your guest account data, if your account is still a guest account
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Some information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups, logs, security records, or system records where immediate deletion is not technically possible. This information will be removed according to normal retention and backup processes.

13. Your Choices

- Add or skip location for expenses

- Delete your account

You can deny location permission, and Pouch will still work without automatic location features.
14. Children’s Privacy
Pouch is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
15. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored or processed in countries outside your country of residence, including locations where Google Firebase or other service providers operate.
By using Pouch, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed in other countries where data protection laws may differ.
